Therapists, nutrition practitioners & specialist contributors

A whole person needs
more than one lens.

Professional voices are already helping BetterMinds challenge its whole-person approach. Ren does not practise therapy or professional judgement. It helps the person’s voice and relevant context arrive with them.

What I want you to understand today

Recent context, the pattern I have noticed, and the question I do not want to forget.

Edited and shared only by the person

Professional input now

Built with challenge in the room.

Therapists and nutrition practitioners are helping the team evaluate how the product sees the whole person. They are not evaluating individual people through the app.

Active input
01 · Therapeutic perspective

Language that supports without pretending to treat.

Therapists can challenge how Ren responds, how educational material is framed and where a human conversation must take over.

02 · Nutrition & daily life

Context beyond a single symptom or score.

Nutrition practitioners can challenge whether the product leaves room for routines, energy, food context and the realities of daily life without making hidden inferences.

03 · Critical companionship

Useful support should stand up to disagreement.

Contributors are invited to question assumptions, test boundaries and make the product more honest. Their role is not simply to endorse it.

Professional participation strengthens the product’s questions and boundaries. It does not make Ren a clinician, turn the app into therapy or amount to clinical approval.

Ren’s role

Preparation around care. Never care by proxy.

The boundary is simple to say and important to keep.

Ren can help someone

  • remember what they wanted to raise
  • organise recent context in their own words
  • review and edit a preparation note
  • notice a possible thread without claiming a cause
  • choose what to share and with whom

Ren does not

  • diagnose, assess or formulate clinically
  • provide therapy or professional advice
  • decide what a clinician should conclude
  • monitor risk between appointments
  • send personal information in the background

A person-led handover

The preparation note is a draft, not a clinical record.

It is designed to help the person enter a conversation with a clearer starting point.

1

Ren gathers

Relevant context from what the person has shared and what Ren is allowed to hold.

2

The person reviews

They correct, remove, reframe or add what the professional needs to understand.

3

The person chooses

They may keep it as private prep or share it through the route they decide.

A professional never receives a hidden feed of the person’s conversations, check-ins or connected context. BetterMinds does not call this a clinical handover.

How contribution works

Authority should be specific, credited and bounded.

The value is in careful challenge: strengthening safety and usefulness without turning credentials into decoration.

Scope

Own only the field you know.

A therapist, sleep specialist or nutrition professional should review only the language and content within their relevant authority.

Permission

Agree before we publish.

Credentials, contribution, credit, reuse rights and publication approval must be confirmed before BetterMinds names or uses a contributor’s work.

Separation

Education is not product capability.

Professionally reviewed learning content does not make Ren a clinician, and it does not turn a private beta into a clinically approved product.

Judgement

Humans keep the final word.

Professional contributors help shape boundaries and content. Qualified practitioners remain responsible for the care they provide.

Professional input is already part of the work.

A careful circle of challenge, not a wall of borrowed authority.

Therapists, nutrition practitioners and other specialists help question the product, sharpen its language and define where it must stop. Individual names, credentials and precise contribution scopes will be published only with each practitioner’s approval.

Professional conversations

Bring your judgement, not just your endorsement.

If you work in therapy, wellbeing, sleep, nutrition, women’s health or another relevant field, tell us what you would need to see before contributing.
